Vance Admits: ‘I Was Wrong About Donald Trump!

United States: During the CBS News Vice Presidential Debate on Tuesday, Newsom’s rival, Larry Elder and St. Sen. Josh Newman asked him how he transitioned from calling Trump potentially “America’s Hitler” and an “idiot” to running on the former president’s 2024 ticket.
As reported by the Fox news, sometimes, sure, but I have also been candid this past year about the fact that I was dead wrong about Donald Trump. I was wrong, first of all, because I believed some of the media stories that turned out to be dishonest fabrications of his record,” Vance said Tuesday night.
He added; “But most importantly, Donald Trump brought to the table for the people of America — rising wages, the rising, take-home pay, an economy that served normal Americans,” secure a southern border. “I don’t even know what kind of realistic expectation is, I mean, I expected him to do a lot of things, frankly, that I didn’t think he’d be able to deliver on.”

During Vance’s itrade on how he became a Trump supporter, Fox News’ Debate Dial audience feedback system showed viewers’ approve rates going in all directions.
The approval rating of the Republican audience was well over 80% and reached 90% at one point as it remained high during Vance’s statement.
At the same time, Democrats showed disapproval: their rating dipped below 40% and hit 20% at the lowest.
To some extent, Vance also pointed to things done wrong in the first Trump administration that he wishes could have been done differently, but he pinned most of the blame on Congress.”

There were a lot of things on the border, on tariffs, for example, where I think that we could have done so much more if the Republican Congress and the Democrats in Congress were better about how they were governing the country. They were so consumed with trying to oust President Donald Trump they could not effectively lead, Vance said.
In the analysis of the responses from the Debate Dial, it emerged that independents gave fairly moderate responses with their expressed approval ranging between 40- 60%.
