U.S. Forces Join Israel’s Battle Against Missile Attacks!

United States: A team of U.S. soldiers has arrived in Israel to help operate an advanced anti-missile system. This system was provided by President Joe Biden to help Israel defend against missile attacks from Iran, especially as tensions are rising in the Middle East.
The Pentagon announced that the first group of about 100 U.S. troops has arrived, along with some parts of the defense system. This is the first time U.S. troops have been sent to Israel since the Hamas-led attacks last year that started the conflict in Gaza.
As reported by USA TODAY, Major Gen. Pat Ryder, a Pentagon spokesperson, during a readout on Sunday said that some parts of the THAAD battery system were already delivered Sunday, while other parts would be shipped in. This week, more U.S. military forces, and parts of a THAAD battery will arrive in Israel,” Ryder said.

The system will be fully operational “in the near future” a precise timeline for implementation could not be provided due to operational security concerns of Ryder.
He said the deployment and the THAAD battery prove that there is cooperation and eagerness between the United States and the state of Israel in defending the state of Israel and anyone within its borders – American citizens as well – against missile attacks from Iran. Tehran launched hundreds of missiles at Israel on Oct. 1 but the operation was largely intercepted.
Israel has promised a lethal, precise and most importantly, an unexpected response to the Oct 1 attack, said Yoav Gallant, the defence minister. Tehran declared it had launched the attack in retaliation for the assassination of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah.
Developments:
∎ In Tuesday attack, a police officer perished and four people sustained injuries when the militant fired at a highway, north of the coastal city of Ashdod, police report.
∎ Israeli fighter jets targeted and “neutralised” a Hezbollah operative whom was sending drones into the sovereign state of Israel, announced the Israeli defence forces. Still, it became unclear whether the unit that was run by Khader Al-Abed Bahja was behind a drone attack that killed four Israeli soldiers and wounded dozens.
A series of air raids by the Israel Air Force left dozens of Palestinians dead in Gaza as it fought hammer-and-tong with Hamas operatives and other allied fighters, Palestinian medical authorities reported. The largest ones comprised seventeen in Jabalia outside al-Falouja; the largest of the eight camps in Gaza and ten in Bani Suhaila in southern east Khan Younis when an Israeli missile hit a house. Eight other civilians were also killed when house was targeted in Nuseirat camp in central Gaza.
