U.S. Deadline Looms for Israel to Improve Gaza Aid Access

United States: The U.S. has set a deadline for Israel to improve the access of aid to Palestinians in Gaza, which is due later today. Top U.S. officials, including Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, warned Israel that if the situation doesn’t improve, they may take actions like stopping military support.  

In a letter sent on October 13, they gave Israel 30 days to meet demands, such as allowing non-combatants access to food and basic necessities. Israel has said they are committed to letting aid into Gaza and take the U.S. demands seriously. 

As reported by the Washington Post, In other news, Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman said that Israel kills Palestinians in Gaza “like Muslims kill chickens,” accusing Israel of genocide on Monday in Riyadh at a summit of Arab and Islamic states, according to state media.

Israel has dismissed any genocide allegations in Gaza and retorted that it doesn’t deliberately kill civilians in Gaza or Lebanon. 

Here are another important landmark: 

On Tuesday morning Israel conducted airstrikes in Beirut’s southern suburbs an area populated highly densely in Lebanon. At 10 a.m., the Israel Defense Forces are already warned of a strike on Hezbollah “assets and infrastructure. 

Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, who is respectfully  considered to be Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s top political aide met President-elect Donald Trump in Mar-a-Lago on Sunday, The Washington Post  has reported  this citing an unnamed official with knowledge of the meeting, who hereby pleased and requested anonymity because he or she was actually not authorized to speak with the media or any other external sources. 

Nine locations were bombed in two areas of Syria on Monday by U.S. forces according to Central Command, with the aim at “Iranian backed groups” following attacks against the U.S. 

As it was reported by the Gaza Health Ministry no less than 43,665 people were killed in Gaza during the war an minimum of 103,076 people were injured. At least 3,243 people were killed, and 14,134 others were injured across Lebanon, according to the country’s Health Ministry statement. Neither agency is limited to claiming civilian lives only, but also combatants. 

The Israeli government believes that more than a thousand civilians were killed in the attack by Hamas on October seventh, 2023, as well as over Three hundred soldiers. It says that 373 soldiers have been killed in its military operation in Gaza.
