Trump and Harris: 5 Explosive Debate Moments

United States: Former President Trump and the current Vice President Harris had their initial confrontation in Philadelphia in Pennsylvania on Tuesday during a debate moderated by ABC News. The event is best described as the second of the presidential debates of the election campaign although it was not the case as President Biden halted his campaign and got Harris nominated as the presidential candidate of the Democrats instead.
It was an interesting debate, and several topics were discussed but there were certain incidents which were more memorable than the others. Here are the five big points of the match-up.
1. Trump recently said he was ‘going to send her a MAGA hat
’As reported by Fox News, Trump is referring to Harris because, according to Trump, Harris has adopted his political views during campaign. “All that she used to stand for three years back, and four years back has gone to the dogs, she has come to my way of doing things,” he told his opponent during the debate.
Sen. Harris has flipped on several policy positions that she took while in the Senate or espoused during her 2019 presidential campaign and had walked back on ahead of the election against then-President Trump.

“But if she ever got elected, she’d change it,” Trump trumpeted. “And it will be the end of our country.” She said she is a Marxist.
2. Trump said that he ‘probably took a bullet to the head’ for Biden-Harris rhetoric
The former president resorted to threatening Harris for having warned about him being an authoritarian if were to be re-elected, for her remarks, the president coupled with Biden being capable of inciting the July attempted assassination on him.
Instead, Trump said, “This is the one that weaponized Not me, she weaponized.”
3. Joe Biden: Harris says she is not I’m going to preview that right now for you, Joe Biden
The vice president told the moderators, “Clearly, I am not Joe Biden” in response to Trump’s criticism of the Biden-Harris administration’s economic policy and calling Harris “she is Biden.”
‘She is trying to get away from Biden,’ he said.
Harris replied saying, ‘well, I am not Biden’ when putting herself into context she proceeds to say, ‘I am certainly not Donald Trump. ’4 Harris defends Afghanistan policy amid the withdrawal criticism of the administration.
‘’’Harris:’’’ One of the moderators asked, ‘‘Do you think you have any contribution to the way that we were withdrawing? “Well let me tell you this, I supported President Biden’s decision to withdraw from Afghanistan”, she said.
4. “Presidents said they would, and Joe Biden did.”
In the calamitous withdrawal from Afghanistan which took place in August 2021, thirteen US service members lost their lives in a terrorist attack. Trump also criticized the withdrawal saying that it created a scenario where vast amount of US resources and equipment were left behind in the country.
In a bid to answer ABC’s moderators, Harris was deflated and did not say whether she has any feelings concerning the type of the withdrawal.
5. President Trump employ famous Harris line on her.
Former president referred to it on Tuesday evening using a phrase used in the 2020VP debate by Kamala Harris campaigning tool “Wait a minute, I’m talking now if you don’t mind. Pleasure.”
