High-Stakes TV Chat: Harris Prepares for Trump Clash 

United States: Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz are getting ready for their first big TV interview of their campaign this Thursday. They’ll be on a bus tour in southeast Georgia and will talk with CNN’s Dana Bash.  

This interview is important because it will give Harris a chance to address any criticism and show what her campaign is all about. It’s also a chance for her to prepare for a debate with former President Donald Trump coming up on September 10. Harris’s team hopes to keep the good vibes going after recent changes and the Democratic National Convention. 

Significance of the Interview 

As reported by Associate Press, However the joint interviews during an election year are a fixture in the politics, Biden ,Harris, Trump and Mike Pencel, Barak Obama and Biden all did them at  a similar point in the race and the difference is obviously those other candidate has all the done solo interviews since she became her party’s standard bearer five weeks ago though she did sit for the several while she was still Biden’s running mate. 

And Harris and Walz are still introducing themselves to voters unlike Trump and the Biden of whom people had near-universal awareness and opinion. 

Context and Challenges 

Also the CNN interview is set to air at 9 PM EDT and it is scheduled to be taped at 1:45 PM EDT during her two-day bus tour through southeast Georgia that culminated with an evening rally in Savannah and also the Harris campaign officials believe that  in order to win the state over Trump in the month of November and she must make inroads in the GOP strongholds across the state. 

Also Harris during her time as a vice president has done on the camera and print the interviews with the Associated press and many other outlets there as well and a much more frequent pace than the president and also except for the Biden’s late-stage media Blitz following his common disastrous debate performance that touched off the end of his campaign. 

Campaign Strategy and Media Access 

In continuation of this Harris also lack the media access which means past month has become one of the Republican’s key attack lines and the Trump campaign has kept a tally of the days she has gone by as a candidate without giving any interview and on the Wednesday, Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders Trump’s former press secretary suggested Harris needed a babysitter and that was why  Walz would be there.
