Harris Mirrors Biden’s 2020 Media Strategy Amid Criticism
Vice President Kamala Harris’s extended media absence mirrors Biden’s 2020 strategy and continues to attract both criticism and a slight boost in betting markets.

United States: Vice President Kamala Harris, who is running for president, has not answered any questions from reporters for almost three weeks.
This is similar to what President Biden did in 2020, when he stayed away from the public because of COVID-19. Cody Sargent from Heritage Action for America says this strategy might help Harris just like it helped Biden.
Critics Label Campaign Strategy as a Distraction
As reported by Fox News, Harris is running a trojan horse campaign, “Sargent continued and she’s distracting people Megan and thee stallion and rolling out a vice president commercials that don’t really say anything distracting and them with this big shiny object and the trojan horse but then inside that specific horse is the socialism is the most radical candidate to ever appear at the top of her presidential ticked and she’s avoiding doing any media and any real interviews and any sit down as well.
Comparison to Biden’s 2020 Campaign
In the year 2020 during the presidential campaign and the president Biden held very few press conferences and throughout the year he conducted around 12 to almost 15 press conferences or major media events instead opting for virtual events.
Eventually, so right now it’s working for her Sargent said and because we unfortunately have a complaint press in this country that’s openly pulling for her.
Harris was basically blasted for spending less than two minutes taking questions from the reporters and on Thursday after bringing criticized for going 18 days without speaking to media.
“Kamala refuses to do interviews because her team realizes she is unable to answer questions, much like Biden was not able to answer questions, but for different reasons,” former President Trump posted on Truth Social.
Recent Developments
The vice president answered a handful of questions on the airport tarmac while campaigning in Michigan on Thursday, after Trump had held a lengthy news conference earlier in the afternoon.
One of the reporters asked Harris to respond to criticism regarding how she has not given an interview or a formal press conference since she became the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee.
Although Harris said, I’ve talked to my team, and I want us to get an interview scheduled before the end of this month.
On Thursday, it was reported that Harris took the edge over Trump for the first time in the betting markets since May 1, when Biden was still in the race. On that day, Biden held a narrow 42.3% to 42.2% advantage in the Real Clear Politics betting average.
