GOP Insiders Sound the Alarm on Trump!

United States: GOP staffers and operatives in Pennsylvania and other swing states tell BuzzFeed News that many of their colleagues are concerned that they have not seen much of Trump’s field operation and that it could prove catastrophic in a close election.
More than a dozen Republican strategists and operatives in presidential battlegrounds expressed serious concerns about what they have described as the stunning lack of a get-out-the-vote by Trump campaign, a reliance on outside groups to do field work that the insiders said had never been proven and an unreliable, disjointed top of the ticket down-ballot strategy.
As reported by POLITICO, when trying to counter Democrats’ Barack Obama inspired ground game in recent years, GOP is struggling to come up with a ground game plan that could effectively counter the other side’s efforts. And as Harris keeps adding the dollars into door-knocking operations, many of the strategists and operatives worry the party’s work this year will be underwhelming — all to the detriment of Trump in such states.

‘The question that I have in my mind is whether they are all on the same page, or do we have that tremendous, broad, well financed vehicle from the top of the ticket,’ said Stephen Lawson, a Republican strategist in Georgia. “I think that is a central question heading into early voting next month.”
A Michigan-based GOP strategist, granted anonymity to speak candidly, described the party’s challenge bluntly: “They’re competing with us dollar for dollar, with passion and they’re getting the bases and the vote.”
Get-out-the-vote activities by the campaign itself or others — canvassing and vote-sending exercises, to use academic terminology — are the pivotal decisive factors in the closely fought elections. And it’s not as though the Trump campaign is doing nothing but waiting for the dust to settle in order to launch its effort to win over minds and hearts.
and to help milk votes in the competitive states and his campaigns has marshaled a volunteer army of door-knockers and the phone-callers its’ referring to as Trump Force 47,” made up of 30,000 specially trained area captains and the “hundreds of thousands” of other volunteers focused on getting out the vote, a Trump campaign official who was granted anonymity to speak candidly about the campaign’s plans told the POLITICO.
And aided by a Federal Election Commission decision earlier this year allowing super PACs and other outside groups to coordinate with the campaigns on voter turnout strategy and Trump’s campaign is also relying on the work of outside groups to reach a goal of knocking on at least 15 million doors the Trump campaign official said.
