United States: Some Democrats in Michigan are concerned of a repeat of Hillary Clinton electoral loss in the state as election day approaches with Harris and Trump in a very close contest, various reports have shown.”

As smart Democrats should always have a healthy dose of paranoia as Adrian Hemond, a Michigan Democratic strategist quoted the AP, said. “If things were polling as they did in 2016, we are haded.”

According to the New York Times and Siena College Poll, the former California senator received 48% approval to Trump’s 47% in Michigan. Clinton was the first Democratic candidate to lag behind in polls and lose the state since Michael Dukakis in the 1988 election to George Bush Snr, although she only lost Michigan to Trump by the skin of her teeth in the 2016 election.

This is according to Hemond who said that in the same year, some of the polls never revealed the level of Trump’s popularity in Michigan. ‘Anyone who’s from Michigan knows, if you believe the poll, like, I got a bridge I’m going to sell you somewhere,’ Democratic Rep. Elissa Slotkin, a candidate for the Senate, said in an interview with the AP.

As reported by Fox news, Obama has more money than the Republicans and Democrats’ have whether it is in campaign funds, Dan Mean of the National Association of Manufacturers said in an interview with the outlet. “But Trump is making stops in places that have not seen presidential attention before and those are potentities with such thin margins.”

Slotkin reportedly said during a recent virtual fundraiser that Harris was “underwater” in Michigan, although it is common for candidates to try to scare their base to give more money by telling them the race is lost.

“I am not feeling my best right now about where we are on Kamala Harris in a place like Michigan,” Slotkin said as quoted in Axios. We have her underwater in our polling We have her underwater Thx RJD, в We have her underwater in our polling.”

What did we see? Money coming in like crazy and everbody was excited and there was such a bump said Lori Goldman who is  Democratic activist and founder of Fems for Dems a voter outreach group in the state and now you know, it’s neck and neck.”

It is PTSD, Goldman added.

Patrick Schuh, another Democratic Michigan strategist said the voters  his groups has spoken to want to hear more about what Harris stands for as a candidate.”
